Creating Puffing Billy Train Carriages

Client: Puffing Billy, Emerald Tourist Railway

Tradeweld was awarded the contract to fabricate, blast and paint 12 train carriages in 2017 for Puffing Billy.

There was initially a prototype produced that was based on previous used models. After a full fit out there were numerous changes made through interaction with Puffing Billy Management and Tradeweld’s engineering team.

The final carriages have now been refined and are progressing through our workshop with job quality and customer satisfaction paramount.
